Henry Sleight, Justice of the Peace

H. Russell Harris,, Town. Superintendnent -of Highways, H.K. Clifford,
Deputy Director of Civilian .Def ense and Edwrad. Sleight Chairman of the
Board of Assessors also present.
Minutes of meeting held on the 22nd day of January were read and
approved. Y
The chairman of the Board named the following msscsbbteeof the
Board on committees as follows: -
Honer Roll: Mr Bentley, Xr 'Walkup and Ur Sleight
#titer Dietkets: Mr. Lampoon and Nr. Bentley
Highway: Mr Sleight and Mr. Walkup
Purchasing- Mr: Lampoon,
Mr. ,L. Stebbins called on the Board to ascertain if anything could
be done in regard to stray animals running at largeg and in and about
private property. The Board generally discussed the matter with his
and advised his that the matter would be taken up with the County
Attorngte
The supervisor reported that the paper salvage committee had received
the sum of $88.82 from the sale of waste paper collected in the
drive and that the said sum would be placed in a separate fund
to be used for the ma-Intainance of tho Honor roll.
The clerk read a recommendation from Leo Blowers # recommending that
Bessie Crsnkhito be appointed Democratic inspector of elections in
Distriet ,No. 2 to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Mr
Cronkhits.
Resolution No. 15 Introduced by Mr Sleight, Seconded by Mr aWalkup,
Whereas a vacancy exists on the Board of Inspectors of Election
District Nos 2 of the Town of Quesnsbury caused by the death of
Mr Cronkhite.
Thersiore be it resolved that Bessie Cronkhi.ts be and ls: hs by
,appointed one of the democratic inspectors of elections District #2
of the Town of Queensbury for the unexpired term of Mr Cronkhite.
Duly adopted by the following vote•
Ayes: Mr VWalkup# Mr. Bentley, Mr Lampoon, Mr Sleight and Mr Fowler

month of January of moneys received and disbursed by him. The clerk

to mileage of the assessors In connection with their duties, and
the letter dated March- 24 ,1244 was placed on file.
The Clerk read monthly statement of the supervisor of moneys
received and disbursed by the supervisor for the month of
February,1944 and same placed on file.
The clerk read a communication from the w4ter department of the
City of Glens Falls in referen"� to a bill for the installation
of inner metir on the 1 wager' supply line of the North Glens Fa$2s
Water District.
