At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury
held on the above date at 7 :30 P.M. , the following members

The clerk read the following communication from the warren
County.Deuartment of Highways.
Mr. D. .Elmer Fowler _
Supervisor August 16th 1944
Glens Falls , N.Y.
Dear Sir: P
Pursuant to the request of your Town Board at the meeting held sak
on August 3, 1944, I have made an investigation regaring
the location of the Glens Falls City line in the vicinity
of Ridge roard.
The information obtained seems to indicate that this line
has not been run since it was originally established, until
the recent survev by the City whitehud3have checked and found
to be as indicated on the enclosed map.
I trust that this information will prove of value. If i
can be of further service in this matter do �not hesitate
to ask.

The clerk read a communication from Ernest L.H. Meyers of the
Water Department of the City of Glens Falls requesting the
Board to name a committee to act with a committee from the
common Council of the City of Glens Falls to provide a uniformed
method of street numbering on streets which run a long or
extend from the city of Glens Falls into the Town of Queensbu ry.
Mr. Fowler appointed Mr Bentley and Mr. Lampoon to act with
the Committee from the Common Council.
The clerk read a communication from Frances Goldsmith trustee
of school district 13 requesting that Lucy Akins be appointed
attendance officer for that district. Said district to pay salary.
he Board generally discussed the matter and dicided that
the board had no jurisdiction in the matter and that it was up
to the trustee of the district.

The Clerk read the monthly statement of the Supervisor
for the month Julv 1944 of moneys received and disbursed,
Resolution No 25 Introduced by Justice Sleight, Seconded by
Councilman Walkup.
Whereas due to the condition of the Highway equipment and the
difficulty of obtaining new equipment or replacement parts

for worn out machinery.
Resolved that Town machinery in the highway department of the
Town of Queensbury shall be used exclusively for Town Highway
work and said machinery shall not leased, rented or used on
- any I projects or works except highway work of the Town of Queensbury
with out authority from the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury
Furhher resolved that this resolution take effect immediately
and supersedes all resolutions heretofore passed in reference
to renting machinery of the Highway department to the contrary.
