Resolved that the Glens Falls Times be and hereby is designated
As official newspaper for the Town of Queensbury for the purpose
of publishing legal notices.
Duly adopted by the following vote :
Ayes- Mr. Walkup, Mr. Bentley, Mr. Lampson, Mr. Sleight and
Mr. Fowler
Noes-None
Resolution No. 5 Introduced by Justicd Bentley, Seconded by
Councilman Walkup.
It was resolved that all Town Officers in °theuse of thetr -
automobiles on *official business shall be allowed 6 cents
per 'mile for each mile necessarthly travelled in the performance
of daid officers duties unless said mileage is otherwise fixed byx1aw
by law.

Regular meeting February 24th,1945
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of
Y
Queensbur , held on the above date at 1 :30 P.M. at the
Clerk's Office the following members were present;
D.Elmer Fowler Supervisor
Henry Sleight Justice of the Peace
Meredith Bentley Justice y Ju ice of the Peace
Curtis Lampson Councilman
Raymond Walkup Councilman
H. Russell Harris Town Superintendent of Highways
also present.
Minutes of meeting held January 27th read and approved.
Robert Bainbridge called on the Board in reference to
draining Park View section. the Board generally discussed
the matter.
Mrs O'Neil called on the Board in reference to people
dumping on her lot on the big boom road polluting a
spring. the matter was refered to the Highway Committee.

Monthly Statement of the supervisor of moneys received and
disbursed in the month of January was read and placed on. file.
In. the matter of additional money for snow removal the following
resolution. was adopted.
Resolution- No. 6, Introduced by Justice Bentley, seconded by
Councilman. Walkup,
Whereas the Town Board hereby determines that the amount levied
and collected for expense actually necessary for the removal
of. obstructions caused by snow is inadequate.
Therefore be it resolved pursuant. to section 268 of the Highway
Law that the additional sum of $2000.00 be and is hereby appropiated
for the expense for the remmoval, of obstructions caused by snow.
It is further resolved that. the. supervisor and Town Clerk be and
hereby are, azthorized to execute certificate of Indebtedness
in the sum of $2000. payable at the Glens Falls National
Bank and Turst Company .of: Glens Falls , N.Y, on or before the
lst day 6f Februarv, 1946. Said Certificate to bear interest
at the rate of 4 per-cent per annum.
Duly adopted by the followning vote.

Mr Fowler.

WHWERAs, an action has been commenced in the Suureme Court by
the 'People of the State of New York against System Properties
Inc. and certain individuals intervening as partypplaintiff's
and,
WHEREASm the said action is brought to determine the ownership
of the bed of the outlet and dam at or near Ticonderoga, and
the complaint demands removal of said dam forthwith; and
WHEREAS it is beliebdd that the removal of said dam would
cause injury to the Town of Queensbury and the property
owners along Lake George, and it is believed for the best
interests of said Town thdtthe State of New York control the.
water level of said lake ; and
WHEREAS the Board of Supervisors of the County of Warren passed
a resolution authorizing its chairman to execute the necessary
papers for application to intervene as a party-defendant
for the purpose of protecting -the interest of the County,
Resolved, that Beecher Clother attorney at Law be and hereby
is retained as attorney to protect the interest of the Town of
Queensbury in said action, and it' is further
Resolved that the supervisor be and hereby is authorized to
execute any and all papers necessary in connection with said action
to protect the interest of the Town of Queensbury.
Duly adopted by the following vote.
Ayes : Mr Walkup, Mr. Bentley, Mr-. Lampson, Mr. Sleight and
Mr. Fowler. -

The Board entered into an agreement with the Town Superintendent
of Highways releasing the Highway moneys as follows ;

Regular Meeting March 24th,1945
At a regular meeting of the Town Board of the Town of
Queensbury, held on the above date at 7 :30 P.M. at the
Clerk's Office, the following members were present;

Curtis Lampson, Councilman
Raymond Walkup, Councilman
H. Russell Harris Town Superintendent of Highways also presnt
Minutes of meeting held on February 24th were read and
approved.
Mrs Hubert called on the Board in reference to a barb wire
fence erected by Charles Baldwin. Mr Lampson was appointed
a committee of One investigate the matter.
A communication from Grace Harper in reference to the condition
of the Edgar Hillis property was read .to the Board and placed
on file.
Mr Walkup and Mr Bentley were appointed a committee to investigate
the matter and to consult with Drs Diefendorf and Chapman in
reference to the matter.
The Town Superintendent reported on the conditioned of the
Drainage on Ft Amherst Street, stating that it was in bad
shape and would need repairing.
The monthly statement of the supervisor for the month of
February of moneys received and disbursed was read to the
Board andplaced on file.
