Soils were sandy, with loamy sand in upper 24 inches. Below that depth fine sandy soil firm with varying common rock sizes including the occasional large boulder. Soils acceptable for a shallow system to keep separation to bedrock as much as possible, the firm/compact soil did not appear impervious and could be excavated with a small machine. The design boundary condition is deeper bedrock somewhere in the range of 5 feet below grade depending on location. Because of site slope, area usable may be limited depending on system type and size. Give me a call if you have any questions. The design plans reviewed and approved by the Town as associated with the wastewater system application are as follows: Replacement Wastewater System for the Maddocks-King Residence 23 Sign Post Road Town of Queensbury Tax Parcel 239.16-1-14 • Sheet S-1 Existing Conditions and Proposed Wastewater System Improvements 1-12-09 • Sheet S-2 Design,Details&Notes 1-12-09 During the course of construction I was on the job site to observe key components of the system installation culminating with the `start-up' of the pump assembly and control panel system on June 18, 2009. Based on my inspection of the system start-up it is my opinion that the wastewater system is in compliance with the intent of the approved design plan and is ready for operation. A minor field change was made by the contractor resulting in the relocation of the rectangular pump tank (1000 gallon)to an installation directly adjacent to the septic tank. I was notified of this change prior to the tank installation. I have attached a print of the modified site plan to show the approximate `as-built' location of the pump tank. Please contact me should you require any further information.
