RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MUNICIPAL OFFICIALS TO ATTEND
2020 ANNUAL ASSOCIATION OF TOWNS CONFERENCE AND
ASSIGNING TOWN SUPERVISOR AS DELEGATE

WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Board wishes to authorize certain municipal officials to
attend the annual New York State Association of Towns Conference to be held in New York City in
February, 2020 and assign the Town Supervisor as Delegate and his designee as alternate to attend and
vote at the Association of Towns Annual Business Meeting,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, in accordance with New York State Town Law §116, Subdivision 10 and
subject to availability of budgetary appropriations, the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes the
following Town Officers and employees to attend the annual Association of Towns Conference to be
held in New York City in February, 2020:
Town Supervisor
Town Board Members
Town Highway Superintendent or Deputy Highway Superintendent
Town Clerk
Town Budget Officer
Town Court Clerks
Town Supervisor’s Executive Assistant
Town’s Director of Building and Codes Enforcement
and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, John
F. Strough, as Delegate to cast the vote of the Town of Queensbury at the Association’s Annual
Business Meeting and in his absence, authorizes and directs the Supervisor’s Designee, Town
Councilperson George Ferone, to cast the Town’s vote, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that all necessary and reasonable expenses incurred at the Association of Towns
Conference shall be deemed proper Town charges, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that authorized attendees’ family members may travel; however, travel must be
at their own expense including costs for travel, meals and any additional hotel charge(s).
