1935-03-26 Regular meeting March,26th,1935 97 - At Regular meeting . of the town Board of the Town of aueensbury held on the above date , at the Clerk' s office at 9 'A.M , the following members were present, Jerry E, Mead, Supervisor Floyd Ellsworth, Justice of peace CharItt Nobles Henry 3tev'enson Memo#i1keSentl ey Bert D. Turner Town Clerk Bertram Murray County Engineer, Dr.D A Chapman Health officer Mr. Smith, County Sanitary inspector, Beecher Clother, Town Attorhey and Arthur H. Stone , Town Superintendant of Highways also present. Minutes of Regular Meeting held on the 26th day of February, 1935 and Public Hearing held on March 14th, 19359 read and approved. Resolution #139 Introduced by Justice Stevenson, seconded b Nobles; _ y justice WKIUMS, the supervisor is required to give an additional Highway' bond for the amount of $229.189 for an increase in the highway fund for said amount for the year of 1935,and Whereas, the supervisor has submitted a bond #43021 with the Glens Falls Indemnity Co as surety in the sum of $229.1$. There fore be it, RESOLVED that the additional bond fo Jerry B. Mead for the amount of � $229.18 be and the same is hereby approved as to amount , surety and Manner of ' execution. Duly adopted by the following vote Ayes-Mr.Ellsworth, Mr.Nobles ,Mr. Stevenson, Mr. Bentley and Mr. Mead Noes # None. r RESOLUTION #14 Introduced by Justice Bentley, seconded by Justice Stevens on; It. was resolved that Mr. Mead be and hereby is appointed a committee of 1 one , to take the matter of the proposed Sherman Island Road up with the Sherman Island Power Co. relative to the obtaining the necessary �— rights of way, deeds and maps and report back to the board at next regular_ Meeting. Duly adopted by the following vote. Ayes-Mr. Ellsworth, Mr. Nobles , Mr. Stevenson , Mr. Bentley and Mr. Mead. Noesr None. The Town Board signed the agreement with the Town Superintendant of Highways as to the moneys to be exvpensdd on the highways, Resolution # 15 Introduced by Mr.Nobles ,seconded by Mr. Bentley It was resolved that there shall be exspended on the highways ` of the town of ( ueensbury for general re airs an average sum of $149, per _. mile for 102.40 miles a_ total- of 115,257.60 and there shall be ploobf" $5092.60 placed in the reserve fund as provided by law, and that there shall be -'placed in ?ter. 21a of spenial improvements- thoe suss of $895.20. except the - iums–exspended on payroll by orders #1 to 6 inclusive for the work relief project, on the Glen Lake Road. Duly adopted­by the following vote Ayes- Mr, Ellsworth, Mr. Nobles , Mr. Stevenson ,, Mr. Bentley and Mr. Mead. { Noes -None. I Resolution No, 16. Introduced by ,r. Mead, seconded by Mr. Ellswortk �-- It was resolved that Mr. Bentley be and is hereby authorized to confer with the county attorney and the Town health officer in reference to preparing and submiting to this board revised health regulations. RESOLVED.That the Town of Queensbury issue certificate of Indebtedness in the sum of $1500. , and the supervisor and the Town Clerk are hereby authorized to execute said certificate t of indebtedness for the purpose of paying-bills so audited for and on behalf of said Town for said amount. Resolution # 1 Introduced by Mr. Nobles, seconded by Mr. Ellsworth. It was resolved that the Salary of Dr. G.A.Chapman, Health Officer be and hereby is fixed at 21 cents per capita based on the last Federal or State census, - per year according to law.
