Justice of Peace Ross F Taylor Justice of Peace Bert D Turner Town Clerk James MaPhilips and several Taxpayers and residants of upper glen street and lake Sunneyside also presant Becher Clothier also Premant Judge MaPhilips :submitted proof of publication which was recorded and 1 placed on file tax payers of upper Glen St requested that the new l routs as proposed be changed so as to give service to the people along the glens Falls hake George Highway as far as the round whIQh their was no objections Judge McPhilips offerd the following ammendment to, the petition The petitione2-' the Hudson Transportation Co Inc makes application to ammend itelpetition heretofore and on the 23 day of april filed by it so as to include the following route also commencing at a point on bay road where the same is intersected by the blind rock road so called ,thence westerly along and ,upon said blind rook road to the countiry Club road thence westerly along the co ,try club road so called to the state hi hwa leadin g y g to the Village of hake -George thence southerly 'along the state highway to the city of Glens ]Palls and in boath Directions application as e Petition was granted Beecher Clotier County attorney requested, some changes Jm the ,proposed franchise and after Gam t�s the Town Board adopted the following resolution prO�ed its Resolution #I5 Intorduced by fustiee Hicjs `seconed by Justice Taylor all presant voting in the affirmative `Whereas the Hudson Transportation Co Ina has ft red with theTown Board Town dfQuensbury a petition for consent. under and pursuant to section- 66 of the transportation laws of the State of Ire* York f to establish and oporate Ommibus or motor vehicle routes upon and along certain streetsavenues and public places in the Town of que+ensbury Warren County N.Y. as Follows, Commencing at a point on ridge road at the northaly corporation line of the city of glens falls running thence northaly _. along the ridge road so called to the hamlet of onfda thence weeterlay on the highway leading from the ridge road along the south side of ' 'sunneyside to the county highway known as bay road to the northaly corporation line of the city. of Glens Falls and in boath directions also commencing t g a point on the state highway leading from, glene falls to lake george where the same* is intersected by gleen wood avenue running thence northeasterly along glen wood avenue f.. to a- point near the glens falls brick and lumber corporation thence westerley along the highway on the northaly of the glens falls brick and lumber corporation about 200 feet thence northaly along the highway known as the country club highway to the county hightray at the entrance of the glens faller country club thence westerly alonghe u, county highway to O Brons Beach so called and in boath directions also commencing at a point on bay road where the same is intersected by the blind rock road so called thence westerlay along and upon said blind rock road to the country club road so called to the state highway leading from glens falls to the village of lake george thence southerly along the state highway to the city of glens falls and in boath directions jW 'Whereas the said Town Board of the Town of .queensbury did ponveneine the office of thee Tom Clerk of the town'.of queensbury N.Y. on the 30th day of april 192-9 at I P.M. for a first hearing and consideration Of said application and did hear all persons desiring to be ,b0ft, thereon and due consideration be ng .given thereto now therefor be it Resolved that the Hudson transportation Co Inc be and is herebyis permitted to maintain and oporate ommibusses motor vekdhles routes for the purpose of carrying persons and property for compensation up0n and along the streets and avenues and public places in the Town of $neensbury N.Y. as described aforesaid upon tom. to hieing terms k first d o mmibuss or motor vehicles shall not - ° be ogorated at- a rate o -speed to eaeeed thirty 30 miles an hour f Second that to of fare 'to be charged is 'twenty 20cents for a continnalaNWeen any two poiA s on said route in the Town of queensbury and between any point on said rout in the town of queensbury and any point is said rout in the city of lens falls or the, village of Hudson -falls or vita versa that-said route .shall` be devided in two 2 zones as hereinafter described of tan .cent fare each passengers are to be permitted to transfer to other busses of the Hudson Transportation CoSnd and continue the trip on said busesto other route in the city of (dens Falls South Glens Falls and hudson falls and its paasedgers boarding buses in hudson falls south .glens falls or glens falls demanding transfers to the buses operating the routs above described shall receive the same and said transfers so issued shall beeacepted in lieu of one tee cent by transfering at a regular transfer point, in the city of glens falls to the first passing Ommibus or motor vehicle on other routs that the northely point of zone on the lake sunney#ide rout shall be the school house of school district #4 of the town of queensbury and the northely of zone #I on the blind rock road and the lake sunneyside rout shall be the Arthur .Hillis e Land the northely point ofsone R on the lake george ghway rout shallbe be at - the top of x .miller hill at - lyles inn and the northely of zone #I on the country club road rout shall be Delongs lumberyard Third that said Hudson transportation Co :inc stops its Ommibuses or motor vehicles on said - routs , so as to conveniently accomadate persons desirous of riding thereon and as directed by ' the town board of the town of queensbury Further this franchise shall continue for a xm of fifty years 50 In the matter of-appointing a constable to fill vac eh caused by the resignation of James Kennison the following resolutioTy was adopted �- Resolution #16 intorduced by Justice Gifford and Seconed ,by by Clerk Turner all presant voting in the affirmative whereas James Kennison has tendered his resignation as constable in the town of queensbury i Now therefore be it resolved that John J Goldsmith be and is hereby appointed -
