RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING GRANT APPLICATION FOR FUNDS TO
BE USED FOR CONVERSION OF VITAL RECORDS FROM
MICROFILM TO LASERFICHE

WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury’s Records Clerk has advised the Town Board that a
Local Government Records Management Improvement Fund Grant from the New York State
Education Department State Archives and Records Administration (SARA) is now available to provide
funding to the Town for the conversion of vital records from microfilm to laserfiche, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to authorize an application for these grant funds,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town
Supervisor and/or Town Records Clerk to apply for a Local Government Records Management
Improvement Fund Grant from the New York State Education Department State Archives and
Records Administration (SARA) to be used by the Town for the conversion of vital records from
microfilm to laserfiche and take any further actions necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
