The hold-down anchors around the exterior of the building were observed prior to the installation of the brick facade and all areas appear to be in conformance with the requirements of the construction documents and are acceptable to this office. Additionally I was asked by Mr. Schermerhorn to provide an alternate design for the area above the porte cochere entry. The original design was for a wood framed roof with membrane roofing and concrete pavers. The attached plan shows the revision to the framing to provide cold formed steel joists with metal deck and cast in place concrete elevated slab. The existing structural steel framing was installed as per the original design drawings. The anticipated loads are acceptable for the framing provided and the area was installed in accordance with the new framing design. I have observed the installation of the new framing and the elevated slab and this area is acceptable to this office.
