RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SALE OF OBSOLETE
PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT DUMP TRUCK TO WARREN
COUNTY SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT

WHEREAS, the Town’s Director of Parks and Recreation (Director) has advised the Town
Board that a 1988 GMC dump truck used by his Department (Vehicle I.D. #1GdJV34W8JJ515549) is
obsolete and has been replaced, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with New York State Town Law §64(2-a), the Town may sell
items which are no longer needed by the Town or are worn out or obsolete, and
WHEREAS, the Director has requested Town Board authorization to sell the truck for $2,000
to the Warren County Soil and Water Conservation District, which in the past has assisted the Town
with various community projects, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board has determined that this is a fair price for the dump truck,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes the sale of a 1988 dump
truck used by the Parks and Recreation Department (Vehicle I.D. #1GdJV34W8JJ515549) to the
Warren County Soil and Water Conservation District for $2,000, as the Truck is obsolete and has been
replaced.
