237.2001 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SALE OF OBSOLETE TOWN ITEMS AT AUCTION RESOLUTION NO.: 237, 2001 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Theodore Turner WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Daniel Stec WHEREAS, in accordance with New York State Town Law §64(2), the Queensbury Town Board may authorize the sale of items which are no longer needed by the Town or are worn-out or obsolete, and WHEREAS, the Town Purchasing Agent has submitted to the Town Board a list of obsolete Town equipment and furniture and has requested Town Board authorization to sell the items at an auction to be held in conjunction with Washington County at the Washington County Municipal st Complex on July 21, 2001 by Auctioneer Russ Sherrer, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby approves the sale of Town-owned items that are no longer needed by the Town or are worn-out or obsolete, as substantially set forth on the list presented at this meeting, at an auction to be held in conjunction with Washington County at st the Washington County Municipal Complex on July 21, 2001, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that all Town proceeds from the auction shall be deposited in accordance with the Queensbury Town Code and Laws of the State of New York, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that any contract for auction shall be in form approved by Town Counsel and the Town Supervisor is authorized to set minimum bid amounts if required. th Duly adopted this 4 day of June, 2001, by the following vote: AYES : Mr. Martin, Mr. Turner, Mr. Stec, Mr. Brewer, Mr. Brower NOES : None ABSENT: None
