RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ENGAGEMENT OF VAN DUSEN &
STEVES LAND SURVEYORS TO SURVEY A PARCEL OF LAND
LOCATED AT THE END OF FIFTH STREET EXTENSION

WHEREAS, the Town Highway Superintendent has advised the Town Board that Town
resident Larry Clute has offered to donate a parcel of land located at the end of Fifth Street Extension
to the Town to permit the Town to straighten out the end of Fifth Street where it meets Richardson
Street, and
WHEREAS, the Highway Superintendent feels that this proposed land donation would help
improve the end of Fifth Street and its intersection with Richardson Street as it would allow for a
normal perpendicular intersection rather than the current angled intersection, and
WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Board wishes to authorize the engagement of a surveying
firm to perform a survey of the parcel,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes the Town Highway
Superintendent to engage the services VanDusen & Steves Land Surveyors to provide the surveying
services referred to in this Resolution, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the costs for the surveying work shall be paid for from the appropriate
account as determined by the Town Comptroller’s Office.
