RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING INTERMUNICIPAL AGREEMENT WITH
CITY OF GLENS FALLS FOR PLOWING OF BORDER STREETS

WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION

WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury (Town) and the City of Glens Falls (City) are
immediately adjacent municipalities with several streets along the border between the Town and City,
and
WHEREAS, the streets are used by residents of both municipalities and are immediately
adjacent to properties of both municipalities, and
WHEREAS, by Town Board Resolution No.: 516,2000 and City Council Resolution No.: 05,
2001, the Town Board and City Council each authorized an Intermunicipal Agreement providing that
each municipality would plow some of the other’s streets on the municipal boundary, and
WHEREAS, during calendar year 2001, the plowing arrangement successfully improved the
prompt, beneficial and efficient plowing of these streets, and
WHEREAS, the Town and City wish to renew such Intermunicipal Agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby approves of the Intermunicipal
Agreement with the City of Glens Falls providing for the plowing of border streets within the Town
and City as presented at this meeting, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to execute the
Agreement and take such other and further action necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
