Mr. Fitzgerald, "I have a picture in front of me of
the proposed sign and I must say, pictures are worth their
weight in gold. Mr. Liapes, if you can get a picture relatìg

Gary West, "The present sign is too msall and dilapidated.
'",,-,
A free-standing sign would light up the driveway. The present
sign is so bad they (King Hendrick Motel) wanted a new one
and a nicer looking one. If it were placed 50' back, it
would be approximately behind the cabins. Actually, from
the road, it would be 27 or 28 feet back."
Mr. Fitzgerald, "Are there any other houses within a
reasonable distance?"
Mr. Liapes, "Vacant land on one side that belongs to
Williams College and the other side was owned by a man who
died in Florida."
Mr. Fitzgerald, "You are moving your sign to a much
better location?"
',---
Mr. Liapes, "It will be less non-conforming."
Mr. Sicard, '~hat kind of lighting; no flashing arrows,
etc.?"
Mr. West, "No, flourescent and would light up this
area."
Mr. Sicard, "Actually, this is closed during the winter
months?"
Mr. West, "They cover it up in the winter. This pre-
vents people going by and throwing bottles, etc. at it."
There bèmng no other questions or appearances, the Board:
