CONCERNING REORGANIZATION OF THE PLANNING, ZONING AND
BUILDING & CODES ENFORCEMENT DEPARTMENTS

WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, by
resolution no. 448, 92, adopted and implemented a plan for the
reorganization of the Planning, Zoning and Building & Codes
Enforcement Departments, and
WHEREAS, as part of that resolution, the Town Board authorized
the establishment of a new position to be known as Assistant
Planner with Engineer and/or Architectural background, with the
exact nature of the position to be subject to and in accordance
with Civil Service approval and rules and regulations, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury is desirous
of amending the aforesaid resolution and more specifically, the
authorization for the establishment of a new position of Assistant
Planner with Engineer and/or Architectural background,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby
amends resolution no. 448, 92, to provide that the new position
that is authorized and established shall be that of a second
Assistant Planner, with the qualifications and criteria for the
position to be in accordance with the currently approved Civil
Service job classification and with any appointments made to said
position to be provisional in nature until such time as a
qualifying Civil Service test has been taken and passed in
accordance with the Civil Service Law, rules and regulations, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby
authorizes the Town Supervisor to transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Warren County Civil Service Commission and take
such other and further steps, including the execution and placement
of the Town Seal on any and all documentation that may be necessary
pursuant to Civil Service Law, rules and regulations to effectuate
the terms and provisions of this resolution.
