MINUl'ES of the public hearing of the Zoning Board of
Appeals held July 21, 1976 at 7:30 P.M.
There were present:

being the Jœmbers of the Board. The rreeting was called to
order by Mr. Fitzgerald and on a rrotion by Charles Sicard,
seconded by Jack Fitzgerald the minutes of the June 16, 1976
rœeting were approved as read.

NEW BUSINESS:
Variance #448 - Evelyn Kay (Red Rose M:>tel) , Route 9
Lake George Road - to rrove an existing non-confonning sign

18 ft. in a C-3 Zone on the property situated at Route 9,
Lake George Road.
There were no appearances for or against. Both the
Town and County Planning Boards approved with no comænt.
George Kurosaka made a rrotion that Variance #448 -
Evelyn Kay (Red Rose M:>tel) be approved. This lIDtion was
seconded by George Kurosaka. Unanirrous .
Variance #449 - David Barnes, Indianla Avenue - to
place an addition to a pre-exi.sting auto repair shop in an
R-4 Zone on the property situated at Indiana Avenue.
Both Mr. & Mrs. Barnes were present. Mr. Barnes stated
he would have one lIDre arployee to work with him.
A letter was read from Ray W. Glass in objection to this
application stating noise, working late at night, garbage lying
around, etc.

There were no appearances for or against. The Town of
Queensbury Planning Board reccmænded approval of this var-
iance.
Charles Siœrd made a rrotion that Variance #449 - David
Barnes be approved since it concurrs with the Town of Queens-
bury Planning Board.
This notion was seconded by Ted Turner. unanirrous.
Variance #450 - Steven Allen Sweet, 36 Cottage Hill !bad,
R-5 Zone - to place an addition to a dwelling 11 feet frcm the
property in lieu of the required 30 feet setback on the pro-
perty situated at Cottage Hill Road and Hillcrest Avenue.
Mr. Sweet was present and there were no appearan¥ces for
or against.
The Town of Queensbury Planning Board reccmænded appro-

val of this variance.
Jack Fitzgerald made a rrotion that Variance #450 - Steven
Allen Sweet, be approved in confonnance with the Town of Queens-
bury Planning Board. This rrotion was seconded by Charles Sicard.
Unanirrous .
Variance #451 - Kingswood Estates, Inc., Gary D. Watkins,
President, North Side Weeks Road, to waive the minirmmt yard re-
quirements in an R-5 Zone on the property situated at the North
Side of Weeks Road.

Mr. Keenan stated that this application had been before the
Zoning Board before but tine had run out on this application and
if approved construction would start in approximately two weeks
for 2 - 4 fanù.ly units. He stated they had made Sate changes
since last tine for nortgage purposes.

Both the Town and County Planning Boards approved.
Jack Fitzgerald made a IIDtion that Vairance #451 - Kings-
wood Estates, Inc. be approved in accordance with the Town
and County Planning Boards with the sane qualifications as
last tine which are as follows:
1) Sewage easerœnt and profile to be submitted.
2) Landscaping and plantings be approved by the Queens-
bury Beautification Cœmi ttee.
3) Ha'æowners Association regulations to be approved
by Town Attorney and aIr:! other agencies with jur-
isdiction.
This rrotion was seconded by Charles Siœrd.
