Re: Paul Kruger, Meadowbrook Rd. Front Porch Deck Renovation
8'-0"x 23'-0" 184 sq. ft.
As you are aware Paul Kruger is removing his front porch piers and wood deck both of which
were beyond repair and plans to rebuild this porch with concrete footings,walls and deck slab.
The existing columns and rail system could be reused but will be replaced with modern materials
which are more maintenance free. The rails and balusters are not immediately necessary since the finial
deck elevation will be less that the 30"above finished grade around the deck. Attached is a section
through the proposed deck.
The work shall cause no diminution of structural strength, has no negative effect on public
safety and is replacing a wood deck with concrete eliminating a fire issue.
