RESOLUTION MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS
PURSUANT TO SEQRA RELATIVE TO ROAD DEDICATION
RESOLUTION NO. 280, 93
INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Michel Brandt WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION
SECONDED BY: Mrs. Betty Monahan
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury has been
asked to accept, for dedication, Fairway Court, a street lying and
existing within the Hiland Park Planned Unit Development, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury notes that
the Hiland Park Planned Unit Development was the subject of a SEQRA
review, including a FEIS which was finally adopted during the year
1987, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury desires to
make certain findings with regard to the proposed action,
consisting of the acceptance of Fairway Court,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, as lead
agency, for purposes of compliance with the State Environmental
Quality Review Act, hereby makes the following findings concerning
the above captioned application:
l. The action under consideration is the Town Board's
acceptance and dedication as an official Town highway, Fairway
Court, a certain street within a project known as the Hiland Park
Planned Unit Development.
2. Fairway Court is part of the Hiland Park Planned
Unit Development which was approved by the Town Board on July 10,
l987 and which Planned Unit Development was the subject of a Final
Environmental Impact Statement pursuant to SEQRA.
3. The Final Environmental Impact Statement for the
Hiland Park Planned Unit Development was accepted by the Town Board
by Resolution No. 201 at its meeting on July 2, 1987, upon
information and belief, based on the Board's review of the FEIS
submitted by the applicant.
4. As the street has been built and in existence,
except for the final topcoat, for some time now, and is certainly
part of the Planned Unit Development, the Town Board of the Town of
Queensbury finds no reason why this street should not be accepted
and dedicated to the Town as a Town highway, especially in light of
the fact that partial development of the area has occurred and
other streets have likewise been dedicated.
Duly adopted this 10th day of May, 1993, by the following
vote:
AYES : Mr. Tucker, Mrs. Monahan, Mrs. Goetz, Mr. Caimano, Mr.
Brandt
