A site visit was made at the above referenced project, by the undersigned representative
of Empire Geo-Services, Inc. (Empire), on May 16, 2005. The site visit was made at the
request of Mr. Bob Culver of Great Escape Theme Parks, LLC (Great Escape). This
report summarizes the site visit observations.
The purpose of this visit was to observe the following:
1. Evaluate the exposed bearing soils for the Elmer Fudd Train Station building
foundations. Based on the recommendations provided in the geotechnical report
prepared for the project by Empire, we understand the design soil bearing
pressure is 1,200 psf. At the time of this site visit the Contractor had completed
excavation for the building foundations.
2. Observe the Wile E. Coyote Coaster Station framing and connections to verify
conformance with the project drawings. The building construction generally
consists of wood framing with steel gusset plate connections.
Observations
1) The exposed bearing soils for the train station building foundations consisted of
brown with trace silt. The exposed bearing soils were evaluated using a small
diameter steel probe rod and appeared consistent with the conditions encountered in

the soil borings. It is our opinion that the exposed bearing soils were adequate for the
design soil bearing pressure of 1,200 ps£
2) The undersigned also observed the framing members and framing connections for the
Wile E. Coyote Coaster Station. The building framing was completed at the time of
this site visit. The building framing consisted of 6x6 beams, columns and roof trusses
with 11/4" steel gusset plates each side at framing connections (with %" diameter thru
bolts). It was noted that the two ceiling level cross beams frame into the sides of the
interior columns. Based on a phone conversation with Mr. Daniel De Nero of Haanen
Engineering, we understand the cross beam framing configuration is acceptable. In
general, the building framing and connections were in general accordance the project
drawings

observed that the foundation excavation extended below the dark brown organic layer
(encountered in boring B-4), which could be seen in the excavation sidewall. The
exposed bearing soils were evaluated using a small diameter steel probe rod. It is our
