Smoke Alarm Requirements
A smoke alarm shall be installed in the non-conditioned storage area.The required
smoke alarm shall receive its primary power from the building wiring.When such
power is interrupted the smoke alarm shall receive power from a battery.Wiring
shall be permanent and without a disconnecting switch other than those required ,
for overcurrent protection.
Emergency Electrical Requirements
An exit light and an emergency light shall be installed as shown on the Emergency
Electrical Schematic. Both of these items shall be equipped with backup battery for
loss of power operation.
