251.97 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DEDICATION OF VERANDA LANE LOCATED IN THE VISTAS ON WEST MOUNTAIN SUBDIVISION RESOLUTION NO. 251, 97 INTRODUCED BY: Mrs. Connie Goedert WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mrs. Carol Pulver WHEREAS, Harold T. Raven has offered a deed to dedicate Veranda Lane in Phase I of the Vistas on West Mountain Subdivision to the Town of Queensbury, which is more particularly described in the survey map presented at this meeting, and WHEREAS, Paul Naylor, Town Highway Superintendent, has recommended acceptance of this road, and WHEREAS, the form of the deed and title to the road offered for dedication have been reviewed and approved by Town Counsel, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the aforementioned deed for dedication of Veranda Lane is hereby accepted and approved contingent upon receipt of title insurance adequately insuring the Town's ownership, which shall be in a form acceptable to Town Counsel, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the $12,000 Escrow Account be properly established. BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Supervisor is hereby authorized to execute, sign and affix the Town seal to any and all documents necessary to complete the transaction, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause said deed to be recorded in the Warren County Clerk's Office, after which time said deed shall be properly filed and maintained in the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Queensbury, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the road be hereby added to the official inventory of Town Highways to be described as follows: Name: Veranda Lane Road Number: 514 Description: Beginning at West Mountain Road and continu- ing in a westerly direction, a distance of 1357' and .26 hundredths of a mile and ending at a dead end. Feet: 1357.26 Duly adopted this 16th day of June, 1997, by the following vote: AYES: Mrs. Pulver, Mrs. Monahan, Mr. Turner, Mrs. Goedert, Mr. Champagne NOES: None ABSENT:None
