Attn: John Strough, Supervisor
Re: Graziano Residence—2 Sunset Lane
BOH Variance Request
Dear John:
Submitted for your distribution and review are nine sets of a Board of Health wastewater system
variance application for the Graziano residence located at 2 Sunset Lane. The neighboring
property two lots to the north (Carte -215 Assembly Point Rd.)) has a water supply well located near
the property line about mid-lot. As a result there is no location on the Graziano lot that the
absorption field could be located that will meet required 100' setback to that well. It should be noted
that the existing Graziano system is approximately 80'from the Carte well. The proposed design
will include an Eljen Geotextile Sand Filter(GSF) trench system and an ultra violet(UV) light
disinfection unit to mitigate the need of a setback variance to the neighboring well. The application
documents include the following:
• Proposed Wastewater Improvements For The Graziano Residence
2 Sunset Lane
Sheet 1 of 3 Variance Plan
Sheet 2 of 3 Existing Conditions
Sheet 3 of 3 Wastewater Details
• Queensbury Board of Health Application for Septic Variance
• Application Fee -$150 check
I am available to meet with you and/or other Board members to further discuss this proposal prior to
the public hearing. Thank you for your consideration of this request.
Sincerely,
Dennis MacElroy
