MR. ARNOLD ALKES PRESENT.
NOONE APPEARED IN OPPOSITION TO THIS VARIANCE.
~1R. SICARD STATED HE WAS HAPPY TO SEE SO~Œ EXPANSION IN QUEENS BURY.
THE BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE COMMENDED MR. ALKES ON THE IMPROVEMENTS
HE HAS ALREADY MADE IN THE AREA.
THE Tm.rn PLANNING BOARD AND ~,yARREN COUNTY PLANNING BOARD APPROVED
THIS VARIANCE.
ON A MOTION BY MR. TURNER, SECONDED BY MR. SICARD, VARIANCE WAS
APPROVED. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
RESOLVED: THE BOARD GRANTED THIS VARIANCE AS AN ENLARGE-
MENT OF EXISTING NON-CONFOID1ING USE. THE
CHARACTER OF THE AREA ~"'ILL NOT CHANGE. FACILITIES

MR. REPKO PRESENTED TO THE BOARD, PLANS FOR PROPOSED ALTERATIONS.
THE AREA IN QUESTION WAS FORMERLY KNOtJN AS LOU'S PIZZA AND THE
STABLE STOP RESTAURANT. THIS NEW RESTAURANT WILL HAVE A SEATING
CAPACITY OF APPROXIMATELY 300. ANTICIPATED OPENING DATE FOR THE
~ROUND ROUND RESTAURANT !'vILL BE LATE OCTOBER OR EARLY NOVEMBER.
THERE WAS MUCH DISCUSSION WITH REGARD TO THE PROBLEMS THE MALL
HAS RECENTLY HAD WITH THE SEPTIC SYSTEM. MR. REPKO ASSURED THE
BOARD THE PROBLEH HOULD BE RECTIFIED SHORTLY AFTER LABOR DAY.
MR. RAY BUCKLEY, ENGINEER, IS PRESENTLY DESIGNING NEW PLANS FOR
AN ADDITIONAL SEPTIC SYSTEM, USING THE OLD SYSTEM FOR A BACK UP.
t1RS. RICJ~RDSON SUGGESTED-IT BE STIPULATED THE RESTAURANT NOT OPEN
UNTIL THE NEW SEPTIC SYSTEM HAS BEEN COMPLETED.

THE BOARD FINDS:
l. THE USE IS ONE SPECIFICALLY ENUMERATED IN
THE DISTRICT.
2. SUCH USE WILL NOT BE PREJUDICIAL TO THE
CHARACTER OF THE AREA.
3. THE BOARD DETER..1I1INES THAT THERE IS APPRO-
PRIATE PROVISION FOR ACCESS FACILITIES
ADEOUATE FOR THE ESTIMATED TRAFFIC FROM
PUBLIC STREETS AND/OR HIGIDvAYS AND THAT
THERE ARE PEDESTRIAN ~'¡ALKWAYS SO AS TO
INSURE PUBLIC SAFETY AND TO AVOID TRAFFIC
CONGESTION.
4. THAT THERE ARE FULL ADEQUATE PARKING AND
OFF-STREET PARKING REQUIREMENTS OF THE
ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE TO~~ OF QUEENS BURY
AND ALL OTHER RELATED ORDINANCES.
5. THAT SUITABLE PLANTING OR SCREENING HAS
BEEN REOUIRED AS FOLLOWS:
REFER TO EXISTING PLANTING AGREEMENT.
6. THAT SUCH USE IS TO THE SAME GENERAL
CHARACTER AS, OR WILL NOT BE INJURIOUS
TO, THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOOD OR DISTRICT.

MR. GLEN REPKO, MALL MANAGEMENT, PRESENT.
THERE WAS SOME DISCUSSION AS TO SIZE OF SIGNS. EVERYONE WAS IN
AGREEMENT THAT THEY SHOULD CONFORM TO ALL OTHERS AT MALL. SINCE
THERE WAS QUESTION AS TO EXACT SIZES, IT WAS THEN SUGGESTED THAT
THIS VARIANCE BE TABLED UNTIL NEXT HONTH. AT WHICH TDm, MR. REPKO
WILL PRESENT PHOTOGRAPHS AND MEASUREMENTS OF ALL EXISTING SIGNS.
MOTION BY MR. TURNER, SECONDED BY MRS. GOETZ, TO TABLE VARIANCE
UNTIL NEXT MONTH. MOTION APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY.
THERE BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS, THE MEETING WAS ADJOURNED ON A
MOTION BY MR. SICARD, SECONDED BY MR. TURNER. MOTION CARRIED
