THE MINUTES OF THE AUGUST 19, 1981 MEETING WERE APPROVED ON A MOTION
BY MR. SICARD, SECONDED BY MR. TURNER. MOTION CARRIED.
NEW BUSINESS:
VARIANCE NO. 7261 CLARENCE CONKLIN - TO CONSTRUCT A DETACHED GARAGE
8 FT. FROM DWELLING IN LIEU OF THE REQUIRED 10 FT. ON THE PROPERTY
SITUATED AT JAY ROAD OFF GLEN LAKE ROAD.
MR. CLARENCE CONKLIN, APPLICANT, PRESENT. MR. CONKLIN EXPLAINED THAT
DUE TO THE TERRAIN AND THE LOCATION OF WELL, HE WAS PROHIBITED FROM
BUILDING IN ANY OTHER LOCATION.
THE TOWN PLANNING BOARD AND THE WARREN COUNTY PLANNING BOARD BOTH
RECOMMENDED APPROVAL OF THIS AREA VARIANCE.
MOTION BY MR. SICARD, SECONDED BY MRS. GOETZ TO APPROVE. MOTION WAS
UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED.
RESOLVED: THE BOARD GRANTED THIS VARIANCE AS IT IS REASONABLE
USE OF THE LAND AND IN CONCURRENCE WITH QUEENSBURY
AND WARREN COUNTY PLANNING BOARDS.

VARIANCE NO. 727. BRUCE C. FRASER - TO CONSTRUCT A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING
WITH 15 FT. SETBACK IN LIEU OF THE REQUIRED 30 FT. FRONT SETBACK ON
THE PROPERTY SITUATED AT CLEVERDALE ROAD.
MR. BRUCE FRASER, APPLICANT, PRESENT. MR. FRASER PRESENTED PHOTOGRAPHS
OF PRESENT SITE. MR. FRASER COULD BUILD TO CONFORM TO ORDINANCE, HOW-
EVER, THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THE HOME WOULD BE LARGER AND AT LEAST 20%
MORE TREES WOULD HAVE TO BE REMOVED.
MR. DON MORRISSEY AND MR. KARL KRETZ, BOTH NEIGHBORS OF MR. FRASER,
HAD QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE LEECH FIELD AND PARKING AREA. IT WAS
DETERMINED THAT THERE WAS ADEQUATE ROOM FOR PROPER LEECH FIELD AND
AMPLE PARKING FACILITIES.

VARIANCE.
MOTION BY MR. SICARD, SECONDED BY MR. GRIFFIN TO APPROVE. MOTION
CARRIED.
RESOLVED: THE BOARD GRANTED THIS AREA VARIANCE IN CONCURRENCE
WITH THE QUEENSBURY AND WARREN COUNTY PLANNING BOARDS.
PARKING OFF HIGHWAY ADEQUATE AND MORE TREES WILL BE
PRESERVED.
VARIANCE NO. 728 WILLIAJ1 HARVEY A DIVISION OF C.R. BARD INC. - TO
USE ADDITIONAL 1900 SO. FT. OF EXiSTING BUILDING FOR DEVEL6PMENTAL
LAB FOR LIGHT MANUFACTURING ON THE PROPERTY SITUATED AT SOUTH SIDE
OF QUAKER ROAD, BETWEEN MEADOWBROOK ROAD AND EVERTS AVENUE (FORMER
BOARDMAN BUILDING).
TOM BARTON, ENGINEERING MANAGER FOR U.S.C.I., AND FRED HERZOG,
MANAGER OF NEW OPERATION, PRESENT FOR THIS VARIANCE. WHICH IS ACTUALLY
FOR EXPANSION OF A PREVIOUSLY GRANTED VARIANCE.
THERE WAS SOME QUESTION AS TO THE FUTURE PLANS OF U. S . C , I. WITH REGARD
TO THIS SITE AND MR. BARTON FELT IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO SAY, AT THIS
TIME, WHAT THEY MIGHT BE.
BOTH THE TOWN AND COUNTY PLANNING BOARDS APPROVED THIS REQUEST FOR A
USE VARIANCE.
MOTION BY MR. GRIFFIN, SECONDED BY MRS. GOETZ TO APPROVE. MOTION
CARRIED.
RESOLVED: THE BOARD GRANTED THIS USE VARIANCE AS IT IS LESS
THAN A 50%. EXPANSION AND IT CONCURRS WITH THE TOWN
AND COUNTY PLANNING BOARDS.
THERE BEING NO MORE BUSINESS, A MOTION WAS MADE BY MR. SICARD,
SECONDED BY MR. TURNER TO ADJOURN. MOTION CARRIED. THE MEETING
