RESOLUTION OF INTENT CONCERNING RENOVATION AND
ADDITION TO THE FIREHOUSE FOR THE
WEST GLENS FALLS VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY, INC.

WHEREAS, the West Glens Falls Volunteer Fire Co., Inc., has
presented to the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, a proposal
to renovate and construct an addition to its firehouse,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, after
considering the presentation of the West Glens Falls Volunteer Fire
Co., Inc., determines that it would be in the best interest of the
Fire Company and the Town of Queensbury residents to renovate and
add to the firehouse at a cost not to exceed $1,200,000., and the
Town Board hereby states its intent to undertake whatever steps may
be necessary, including that of public hearings or referendums to
amend the current agreement to allow for the necessary increase of
funds to help finance such construction, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby indicates that by
adopting this Resolution of Intent, the Fire Company is not
authorized to enter into a contract based solely on this Resolution
of Intent, but rather, the necessary public hearings will need to
be held and a vote will then have to be taken concerning the
financing of the project.
