486.98 RESOLUTION ADOPTING COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN FOR THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY RESOLUTION NO. 486, 98 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Douglas Irish WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Richard Merrill WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury is considering adoption of the 1998 Comprehensive Land Use Plan for the Town of Queensbury (Plan) presented at this meeting, which Plan presents recommendations to guide land use in the Town of Queensbury for the next five to ten years, and WHEREAS, the Plan was prepared by the Comprehensive Land Use Plan Advisory Board with the assistance of the Town of Queensbury Community Development staff, input from citizens and elected officials and various information sources were also utilized, including published materials, interviews and reports generated by local study groups and committees, and WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury held a public informational meeting th concerning the Plan in August of 1998 and conducted a public hearing on November 9, 1998, and WHEREAS, the Plan was forwarded to the Warren County Department of Planning and the City of Glens Falls for their comments and no negative comments were received, and WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, as SEQRA Lead Agency, has reviewed an Environmental Assessment Form to analyze potential environmental impacts of the Plan, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby determines that adoption of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan for the Town of Queensbury will not have any significant environmental impact and a SEQRA Negative Declaration is made, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby adopts the Comprehensive Land Use Plan for the Town of Queensbury, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby authorizes and directs the Executive Director of Community Development to send copies of this Resolution and Plan to the Warren County Planning Board, Town of Queensbury Zoning Board of Appeals, Town of Queensbury Planning Board and any agency involved for SEQRA purposes, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that this Plan shall take effect upon filing in the Town Clerk’s Office. st Duly adopted this 21 day of December, 1998, by the following vote: AYES : Mr. Turner, Mr. Irish, Mr. Tucker, Mr. Merrill, Mr. Champagne NOES : None ABSENT: None 2
