On this date this Dente Group representative visited the above-referenced site to review subgrades at the request of BBL. Specifically,
portions of the subgrade of Building 2, located within the northeast portion of the site, had been prepared and are shown on the attached
figure. Our observations and recommendations are provided below.
Prior to this representative’s arrival, the earthwork contractor, Galusha, had prepared the exterior strip footing subgrade for the areas
shown on the attached (approximately Lines T and 28 to T and 38, Lines 38 and T to 38 and E). These grades had been reportedly
excavated to the bottom of footing elevation then covered with frost protection blankets.
Upon arrival, the subgrade was observed to consist of the glaciofluvial sand and silt described in our Geotechnical Engineering Report,
dated September 25, 2020. The grades were probed with a “T”-handle soil probe and were firm under body weight. In our opinion these
grades are suitable for the support of the proposed foundations.
All observations were given to BBL representatives prior to this representative’s departure from the site.
