The current male and female bathrooms do not meet the dimensional requirements. The sink cannot be in the clear floor space of the toilet as shown on the plans. Therefore the sink must be moved away from the toilet clear floor space to be outside the clear floor space. 00*The occupancy requires a complete fire alarm system plan. Therefore we need a complete plan showing the fire alarm system and all devices,as well as tie ins to the new rooftop units for fan shutdown. ( 3. The rear exit must be handicap accessible,which means that the door must exit at threshold level and there must be a canopy over the rear door to protect it from the accumulation of ice and snow. The Fire Marshal is requesting two emergency lights be added to the plans, one behind the service counter,and one near Door 104. He's also requesting that an exit sign be added over Door 104 leading people to the rear exit. You may wish to do a combination exittemergency light combination in this area. Once these issues have been addressed on the plans,a permit will be issued by this Department. If you have any questions, I can be reached at (518) 761-8253.
