The Energy Code requires that a vestibule be created at the main entrance door for any areas over 3,000 square feet in floor area. ~A second exit will need to be provided on the north side of the retail space in order to meet the exiting requirements for the Building Code. The fire alarm system must be tied into the HVAC system to shut down the HVAC system upon activation of the fire alarm system. Please contact the Fire Marshal to determine locations for additional exit signs and emergency lights. Please supply a fire alarm plan for relocation of any detection and enunciating devices within the space. Provide shop drawing for sprinkler system prior to installation of the system.
