Minutes of August 6, 1975 meeting approved.
Subdivis~on - Resubmission of ~equest to subdivide lot 69. Twicwood owned
~Georåe and ~artha Cougþ~an. Alan Rhodes, attorney and George Coughian
appeare regardiog this request. After discussion this was tabled to
executive session. Motion by Sinnott seconded by Carlaw to disapprove.
Carried. The Board disapproved because this was the basis upon which others
in the subdivision purchased their lots, 42 lot owners opposed. 23 owners
approved and hardship self-imposed. Vote 00 this motion was unamimous.
Old Business - V~r~~nce #411. Sears Roebuck and Co~a~Y. Queensbury Plaza
~per Glen Street- to replace an existing 316 sq. t. sign with a 334 sq.
t.. sigo on the property. Motion by Sinnott seconded by Mellon to recommend
approval. 4 in favor, 2 opposed - motion carried. The Board recommended
approval with the stipulation that applicant raise level of the parapet a
minimum of l8t! to erect sign not above parapet line.

motor vehicles in an M ,1 Zone. .1ot on by Roberts seconded by Kirkpatrick
to recommend approval with stipulation that it be only for repair of pleasure
cars and motorcycles and that variance be non-transferablee Motion carried

50 ft. ~;etback. The Board discussed the following recommendations:
Approval of setback variance with stipulation that the trees be saved with
exception of minimum cutting (as approved by the Beautification Committee)
necessary for road to parking in front of the trees, that no additional access
be made on Aviation Road for the project" that the only sign permitted be
a sign on the building in conformance with the ordinance. that plant!ngs
be approved by Beaµtification Committee and no parking be permitted within
the setback line. The Board voted on the above r~commendatlons with 3
opposed and 3 in favorw
(Sept. 4, 1975 ~ Town Attorney's interpretation is that this would be a
recommendation for disapproval.)
