BC0001, 10-16-13, Rev.10 Page 1 of 1 Received Fireproofing markup submittal shop drawing showing members to be sprayed with designated UL designs and individual member thickness requirements for 1HR rating. Material in use was observed to be Carboline Southwest Type 7GP. Fire-resistive board (brand/type not verified) was in use at perimeters where spraying to thickness rating would be difficult due to proximity of exterior wall materials. Performed walk-through of work area (Columns and Beams supporting 2nd Floor), the application contractor reported they were completed from column lines 1-16. The area was enclosed between 1-19 with external heat source available. Temperature was above 40 F recommended minimum mfg. guideline. This representative made substrate condition observation on members to be sprayed (except the above mentioned 1-16 that were already sprayed). Steel surfaces were clean with no condition observed that would impede adequate adhesion of the SFRM to the substrate except that some columns were galvanized; the application contractor reported that no adhesive agent was required or used. Thickness testing is planned to be performed on 04/09/2021
