The existing deck was covered with a temporary awning and the applicant proposes the covered deck to minimize weather related damage to the home and the deck. The parcel is 0.54 acres located in the Rural Residential 5 ac zone. An area variance is required as the setback proposed on the north side is 72.2 ft and the south side is 28.7 ft where a 75 ft setback is required; then the front setback is proposed to be 60.2 ft where a 100 ft setback is required.
