MACHINE SHED REROOFING
1. The asphalt roofing of the two side roofs is the be removed. The outside ends of the
rafters are to be raised level and cripple walls are to be built to support them. The
required new siding should be 1" x 6" novelty siding and be installed (with 1/4 inch
OSB sheathing) to give a continuous look on the four walls.
2. The existing center roof and rafters is to be replaced with 2" by 6" ceiling joists and
covered with 5 d-to be contiguous with the old side roof sheathing.

3. The new roof is to be a gable roof with 10/12 pitch.

4. Rafters are to be "2 by 6" by 20 foot on?;foot centers (total). There is to be a 1" by
11K,ridge board.
5. Studs are to be 2" by 4".
6. The 20 foot roof rafters are to be supported by two 6'- 0" knee walls built on top of the ,/

7. The roof sheathing shall be 5/8" cdx plywood.
8. Each half roof will be 14 foot by nearly 20 foot to give a nominal horizontally
measured overhang of one foot all around.
9. 1" by 6" vertical trim board and drip edge is to be installed all around the roof. There
will be no lookouts or soffits.
10. The asphalt roofing is to be the same as that used on the camp roof and installed on
underlayment.
11. There is to be a continuous roof vent with cap shingles matching the roofing.
12. The gable ends are to be covered with 1" by 6" novelty siding (with 1/4 inch OSB
sheathing).
