WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury's Transfer Station Supervisor has advised the Town
Board that he wishes to advertise for bids for the purchase of a 2021 or newer one (1) ton, four (4)
wheel drive dump truck with a plow for the Transfer Station Department to replace a year 2007
Chevy Silverado (Town Asset No.: 8709), such new truck to be described in bid documents /
specifications to be prepared by the Transfer Station Supervisor and/or Town Purchasing Agent, and
WHEREAS, the Town wishes to purchase the truck through the New York State Office of
General Services Procurement Program or through local bid, and
WHEREAS, General Municipal Law §103 requires that the Town advertise for bids and award
the bid to the lowest responsible bidder meeting New York State statutory requirements and the
requirements set forth in the Town's bidding documents,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town
Purchasing Agent to provide the specifications for a 2021 or newer one (1) ton, four (4) wheel drive
dump truck with a plow to the New York State Office of General Services Procurement Program,
and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Purchasing Agent
to publish an advertisement for bids for the truck as described above in the official newspaper for the
Town of Queensbury and/or through the New York State Office of General Services Procurement
Program, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Purchasing Agent to
open, read aloud and record all bids received and present the bids to the next regular or special Town
Board meeting.
