SUPPORT FOR UKRAINE

WHEREAS, the Sovereign Nation of Ukraine was invaded on February 24, 2022 by
Russian military forces without cause, and countless civilians and military personnel have been
injured and killed during attacks carried out by Russia's regime, and
WHEREAS, the invasion of Ukraine and attacks against its people have been broadly
condemned by United States President Joseph Biden, leadership of the European Union and
numerous other countries around the world, and
WHEREAS, Warren County and the Capital Region are home to a robust and thriving
community of Ukrainian immigrants and their family members, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to express its unwavering support to the people of
Ukraine as Ukraine continues to fight for its freedom, and urge Town residents to consider
contributing to Ukrainian relief efforts through organizations such as the International Committee of

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby proclaims and expresses its
unwavering support and sincere desire for peace in Ukraine and hereby adds the Town of
Queensbury's voices to those throughout the region and the world who oppose this horrific
military and humanitarian crises taking place as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
