Also - enclosed are Wastewater Disposal System 'Permit -Applications for .
construction,
.Based on anon-intrusive field,investigation on Wednesday,.August 6,:2003 which
was initiated due to problems'with the interior plumbing fixtures, we believe that
the existing.wastewater leaching system is not functioning properly.. The-type and
size of the-existing leaching system is not known, however, following satisfactory
responses from- your offces, bless plans on:excavating .the old system-for the
purpose.of performing a subsurface'investigation and conslsucting a-replacement
system:

Our office has obtained-water use records for the station,:and.based on that data
we are proposing a design. flow of 600-gpd. Space limitations,preclude a 1each.
field or bed, and also limit.'us to one drywell unless variances are sought to relax.
the drywell separation.distances. As such,we are proposing one 10'. deep drywell,
with 4' of stone all around which will yield a capacity of 603 gpd(soil application
rate.to.be confirmed by Jarrett-Martin Engineers, PLLC during.field-work). . This
drywell depth has-been pre-selected based on local reports of groundwater.,at a
depth.of I5'±. Shouldthe'groundwater be.shallower,:we can:shorten the,depth
and increase the diameter of the drywelT.
The. proposed leaching, systom* will occupy 'the same location as. the existing.
systeft,and although we do not expect to be.able twmeet property.line setbacks;
we do not expect to be closer to the property lines than the existing-system.-
