SUPERVISOR WALTER-WE HAVE LOOKED AT THE REVENUES FOR THE WATER DEPT.
AND ALSO THE AD VALOREM TAXES THAT ARE RAISED IN THE INDIVIDUAL WATER
DISTRICTS AND FEEL THAT A REDISTRIBUTION OF THE COSTS ARE NECESSARY .
THEREFORE EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 1ST. THE BOARD IS LOOKING AT AN INCREASE
IN THE USER RATE THROUGHOUT THE WATER DISTRICTS IN QUEENSBURY.
RESOLUTION TO REVISE WATER RATES
RESOLUTION NO . 230 . INTRODUCED BY MR. DANIEL OLSON WHO MOVED FOR ITS
ADOPTION , SECONDED BY MRS . BETTY MONAHAN :
WHEREAS, OPERATIONAL COSTS HAVE INCREASED SIGNIFICANTLY AND
WHEREAS , THE TOWN BOARD WISHES TO HAVE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
COSTS BE THE OBLIGATION OF THE USERS OF WATER AND
WHEREAS, THIS MEASURE WILL RESULT IN THE GRADUAL REDUCTION OF
AD VALOREM TAXES , NOW , THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED , THAT RATES FOR WATER SERVICE IN THE TOWN OF nUEENSBURY BE
ESTABLISHED AS FOLLOWS , EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 1 , 1983 :
