Dear Mr. Almy:
Pursuant our recent telephone conversationsregarding the necessity of the access.covers
specified,on the design drawings prepared by.this office, dated 1/18/03;it is our
recommendation that covers be provided to facilitate maintenance access.for pump outs,
cleaning-the septic tank effluent filters.and monitoring proper function,of the wastewater
disposal systems.
However, are the access covers imperative to the proper function of the wastewater
disposal systems?. The wastewater disposal systems should function-satisfactorily
without the access covers being installed. While it Js recommended that the access
covers lie-installed Jarrett-Martin Engineers,PLLC'will.leave it'ta the discretion of the
owner to provide the access covers.
Please be advised that this memo addresses the issue of providing the access covers only,
all-other aspects of the-construction and-installation of the wastewater disposal pystems
are to follow the 7/18/03 design drawings approved-by the Town of Qiieensbury.
