8. GRADE PLANE: A reference plane representing the average of finished ground level
adjoining the building at exterior walls.Where the finished ground level slopes away from the
exterior walls,the reference plane shall be established by the lowest points within the area
between the building and the lot line or, where the lot line is more than 6 feet from the building,
between the building and a point 6 feet from the building.
9. MEZZANINE: An intermediate level or levels between the floor and ceiling of any story with
an aggregate floor area of not more than 113rd of the area of the room or space in which the
level or levels are located. (Mezzanine area does not contribute to the building area or the

We completed the review of the Plan submitted for this project. At this time,we are asking for
the following items to be addressed:
• Relocate the pull station currently shown on the rear wall Of the athletic field to a location
that is closer to the exit door, as per section 907.3.1 of the Building Code.
• Add one horn/strobe to the service area.
• Add 3 emergency lights as follows: one towards the front area of the athletic field, one
towards the front area of the showroom, one on the stairwell leading to/from the upstairs
projection room.
• Add 8 fire extinguishers (5 lb., 2AlOBC minimum rating) as follows: 2 on the athletic
field side(one front, one Tear), 3 on the showroom side(one front, one rear, one parts
area), I in the upstairs projection area, I in the service area, and I at the exit door just
outside the service area. Note: The section of the building that is occupied as the
SportZone is already adequately equipped with fire extinguishers.I
It isn't shown on the plans submitted;but Ernie Sacco has assured me that the upstairs projection
area will be included in the proposed fire alarm plan. There will be four smoke detectors and four
horn/strobes installed upstairs. We have made the notation on our copy of the plan, and Gary
Wilson is also aware of the need for this.

Dear Mr. Brown:
We received a call from Mr. Wilson recently in regards to what impact the Route 9
Sewer Project may have on the approved Wilson Yamaha facility located on the former
Hoyts Cinema property.
Mr. Wilson was concerned that, if some of the proposed site improvements were
completed prior to the new sewer main being installed, certain items may need to be
removed and re-installed. Specifically, the two new drywells, located along the east
side of the front parking lot, and the.new Route 9.entrance improvements would
potentially need to be removed during sewer force main and gravity main placement.
As you are aware, this office did complete the design plans for the Route 9 sewer
project, in addition to-conducting review on the Wilson Yamaha site. In our opinion,
based on the timing of the Route 9 sewer construction contract, it would be prudent to
allow Mr. Wilson to wait until the sewer main is installed, before he completes the
aforementioned site items. This will allow him to potentially hire the sewer main
contractor to install. the drywells and driveway curbing, after the sewer main is
completed and tested, We would anticipate-thaf the sewer main, in the vicinity of this
parcel, will be installed in May of 2004. Therefore, the Wilson site items could then be
placed on or about June of 2004.
