The meeting was called at 5:30 p.m. in the Supervisor's Conference Room.
Attendance- Present: June Krause,Jennifer Baertschi,Joseph Dawson, Doug Baertschi,John
Strough,Joan Aldous, Marilyn Van Dyke
Jeremy Jenkins was appointed as a student member of the board and will begin attending at the next
meeting.
Evaluative comments were taken on the May 20 event. Members considered the event to be very
successful.
A discussion was held on the sale of the photo poster. Two hundred copies will be printed. Members
agreed to sell the poster for$20. tax included with a matted and framed copy to sell for$150.Tax
included.
Cash or check will be accepted with payment to the Town of Queensbury. Town Clerk Darleen Dougher
will handle the sales from her office.
Poster profits will be used for the August 25 celebration.
The original eagle from the Queensbury Soldier's Monument will be on loan to the town per
arrangements by Jack Diamond, Mayor of Glens Falls. The eagle will be placed in the entry way to the
town building.
The Chronicle student column on "What do you like about living in Queensbury?" should be completed
and printed soon.
Discussion was held on matters related to August 25 event.
1. Reenactors will be asked to participate.
2. Tables in the atrium will be roped off with exhibits by departments of the town.
3. Mike Gates could be asked for music.
4. A fly over by a plane could be arranged.
5. Some old fashioned games for children could be planned.
6. Balloons with the logo to be priced by Jennifer Baertschi.Taylor Welding to blow them up.
Pamhlets announcing August 25 event will be distributed by August 15,16,17 to be given to children to
take home after the recreation camp.
