We have completed our review and we will.require that the following items be addressed:
1) Letter from sprinkler contractor indicating that after modification,the system is still
Compliant with NFPA 13.
2) Fire Marshals office will require a fire alarm system test, including HVAC shutdown.
3) Need revised drawing showing floor plan with exit signs, emergency lighting and fire
Extinguisher locations.. Also, additional units of either type may be required by the
Fire Marshal, once the store is set up.
4) Install additional fire alarm system components as indicated below, and marked up
drawings: Smoke Detector in Room 09 and Meat Prep area
Strobe Device in Break room and Office
Horn Strobe in Produce Display Area
5) Clarify smoke detector indicated above office area,
6) Mezzanine fire alarm system must be maintained and meet NYS Code requirements.

We need to provide a one hour wall that extends above the cooler between stockroom area and main
store.
6.. The sprinkler system must be,tied into the fire alarm system so upon activation it will notify the
tenants, if it is a local alarm only, or it must notify a central station. Alon with that, all the rooftop
units must shutdown upon activation of the sprinkler system:
There is no note on the plans specifically that states all plumbing will be cast iron or copper.
I need to know the number of employees that will.be on duty at any one time, to determine the
proper number of bathroom fixtures.
9. We need to provide additional emergency lighting throughout the store and the exit corridors to
provide sufficient lighting in case of a power failure. Along with this, additional exit lights may be
required by the Fire Marshal's office,.once the store is set up and exit paths are more visible.
There are no heights shown on the checkout counters to show that they comply with the ADA or
ANSI standards.
