1. At least 2 lighted exit signs are needed. If the current signs are taken down during
demo, battery back up exit signs will be required.
2. Relocate the emergency light, which will fall behind the new facade.
3. Relocate fire alarm pull stations and horn strobes, which will fall behind the facade.
4. If the facade is constructed of combustible construction, the void spaces will need to
be protected by sprinklers.
5. Wall penetrations in the construction area will need to be fire stopped.
6. Additional exit lighting may be needed depending on final tenant floor plan.
7. One fire extinguisher, with a minimum rating of 2A10BC will be needed on the sales
floor.
8. One fire extinguisher, with a minimum rating of 2A1 OBC will be needed in the
stockroom.
9. At least one, possibly two fire extinguishers, with a minimum rating of 2A1 OBC will be
needed in the lower level, if that space is accessible to this tenant.
10. All fire extinguishers are to be hung, with the top of the fire extinguisher no higher
than waist high.
11. All fire extinguisher locations are to be labeled with signs at or near ceiling level.
12. Exit doors cannot have locking devices,*hich prevent opening the-door in one
motion..
