Dear Mr. Nadler:
As we discussed,to meet the New York State Energy Conservation Construction Code effective
3 July 2002,the builder of the above referenced project must meet the following requirements:
1) R-60 cavity insulation in all cathedral ceilings-2"x12"rafters 16"oc This may
be accomplished with four layers of two inch Hi R-14 rigid insulation and one
layer of 3/41"Hi R-6.
2) R-60 cavity insulation in all flat ceilings. This may be accomplished by two
layers of R-30 batt insulation.
3) R-50 cavity insulation in all walls-2"x10"studs 16"oc. This may be
accomplished with four layers of two inch Hi R 14 rigid insulation.
4) R-60 cavity insulation in all floors-Same as#f1 above.
