WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury wishes to extend the Greater Queensbury
Consolidated Sanitary Sewer District (Extension No. 3) to serve the 1533 Queensbury, LLC
Property (formerly the Comfort Suites Hotel) located on 5.53 acres of land on the west side of
New York State Route 9 in the Town of Queensbury, New York (Tax Map No.: 288.8-1-5.2) in
accordance with New York Town Law Article 12-A, and
WHEREAS, such Extension No. 3 has been determined to be a State Environmental
Quality Review Act (SEQRA) Unlisted Action and a SEQRA Short Environmental Assessment
Form (EAF) has been prepared, and
WHEREAS, the Town's Wastewater Director has not identified any environmental
impacts,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board, after considering the proposed action,
reviewing the SEQRA Short Environmental Assessment Form (EAF) and thoroughly analyzing the
action for potential environmental concerns, determines that the action will not have a significant effect
on the environment, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to
complete the EAF by checking the box indicating that the proposed action will not result in any
significant adverse impacts, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board approves of a Negative Declaration and authorizes and
directs the Town Clerk's Office to file any necessary documents in accordance with the provisions of
the general regulations of the Department of Environmental Conservation.
