This letter is in regards to American Buildings Company project number 71-7662-01.
Per my conversation with you this morning, it is my understanding that the studs for the
,above referenced project are attached to the concrete floor slab with one 3/8" diameter
expansion anchor and on'e Ramset shot. This attaclunent differs from the attaclunent
shown on the drawings provided by American. The connection as actually constructed in
the field is of adequate strength to withstand shear and uplift loads imposed on them by
code. The expansion anchor must have a minimum embeddment of 2 1/2" and the
Ramset shot must have an ernbeddment length of 1/2".
If you have wivinore questions, please do not hesitate to advise.
