Therefore, the entire building must be upgraded to Code,in order to meet the requirements of the New York State Uniform Building Code. The following items must be addressed prior to issuance of a building permit. The list of items include those items which must be upgraded to meet the 50%rule, according to the New York State Uniform Building Code: The existing door in the rear of the store must swing out and have a canopy covering the door swing. IThe main entrance door must be a new 44" door. Safety glazing is required for any glass,in doors and adjoining doors. We will need a note on the plans addressing any glass in the doors or adjacent to the doors. A floor plan must be provided showing the store layout of the interior space,including aisle ways to make sure that we have minimum aisle widths. A 60"minimum width is required for main aisles leading to an exit and 44" for aisles leading to the main aisles. There are no notes on the plans regarding interior finishes. Please note the types of interior finishes that will be provided,and they must have at least a Class B Flame Spead rating.7,(. We believe there is an existing fire alarm system in the building. If there is, that system / must be upgraded to comply with the new addition. Please provide a fire alarm protection plan showing horn strobes,pull stations,smoke detectors,if,indeed,they do have a fire alarm system in this occupancy. A fire alarm system is not required for this occupancy,but if one is to be installed,it must be up to Code. Also,the heating system must be tied in to the fire alarm system for a fan shut down if the fire alarm system is provided.Please provide information for the type of heat that will be used to heat and cool this building. 7 There are no notes on the plan regarding wind load. Please provide the appropriate wind . load design for this building. There are no exit or emergency lights shown.
