Although the protection provided by these drawings would be desirable,much of it would not be required by New York State code. 1. The drawings show Standpipes with 2-1/2"hose valves in both stairways. Since this building is less than four stories in height,we would like to eliminate the standpipe system. 2. The drawings show a complete NFPA 13 type commercial sprinkler system.This building fits into the requirements for NFPA 13R,which is allowed by New York State code. We would therefore like to provide a residential type sprinkler system in accordance with NFPA 13R. 3. A Dry sprinkler system riser is shown on the sprinkler riser detail.This apparently is to protect the attic and the porte corche. These areas are not required to be protected in NFPA 13R,therefore we would like to completely eliminate the dry system. If the above changes are acceptable to you,please notify me as soon as possible.A revised sprinkler system drawing will be provided by the successful bidder.Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.
