Dear Hans:
Following up on our phone conversation this morning, in regard to the newly
installed fire suppression system at the Hess station on Aviation Road in
Queensbury.
After leaving the site yesterday, I consulted a Pemall installation manual
which indicates pavement to pipe height may not exceed 15 feet. Subsequent field
measurement indicates the finished installation violates this requirement. I
understand from you that Action will be making corrections. I will need assurances
in writing (by way of Pemall or the installation manual for the particular Pemall
system installed on site)that the corrections being made are in fact in accordance
with the system's listing.
I regret these steps must be taken but I was informed prior to construction
that the installer has done many similar jobs for Hess and was aware of installation
requirements. If it turns out Pemall will accept the system as installed, please
advise me at 761-8205. Thanks for your assistance in this matter.
