WHEREAS, Mr. John A. .Dunn has been the Superintendent of the Cemeteries since
1969 for the Town of Queensbury, succeeding Mr. Scoville, and
WHEREAS, John, in the performance of his duties demonstrated great concern,
professionalism, wit, reliability and regard for his fellow people, and
WHEREAS, the Cemetery Commission, the Town Board, feZZow employees, and
the people of Queensbury were saddened to Zearn of the passing of Mr. John
A. Dunn on March 2, 1982, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Board of the Town of Queensbury, on behalf of aZZ the
people of the Town, hereby express their deep sorrow on the death of their
friend and co-worker, Mr. John A. Dunn, and express to the family their
sympathy at this time.

I WHEREAS, Mr. Thomas Flaherty, Water Superintendent for the Town of Q,ueensbury did
recommend that we advertise for bids fl-a Communication System and
WHEREAS, One bid was submitted and received and opened at the specified time and
place by the Director of Purchasing/Town CZerk Donald A. Chase, and such bid was
then turned over to Mr. Flaherty for his recommendation,and

WHEREAS, Mr. Flaherty by letter has recommended that the bid be awarded to SCI
? Communications of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of 9ueensbury hereby accepts the bid
of SCI Communications of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. in the amount of $3,465.00, and

RESOLUTION NO. 69 Introduced by Mr. Daniel Morrell who moved for its adoption;

WHEREAS, Mr. Richard D. and Nancy L. Smith have made application in accordance
with paragraph 2 (c) Section 43 of an ordinance of the Town of oueensbury entitled
ORDINANCE FOR THE REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES AND MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN
OF Q,UEENSBURY, WARREN COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a mobile home outside at property
situated at Massachusetts Avenue, and
WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that said application compZies with the requirements
of said ordinance, and

are sufficient to justify further consideration by this board, therefore be it

be starting a precedent, I realize that finances are such that dreams that are

Councilman Monahan- I agree, I would rather have the chance to vote on this
every year because I think that some of these things may deteriorate in time
and then we would be stuck. . .while I am sure the Church has good intentions,
I would like to keep some control on it. . .

REGULATION OF MOBILE HOMES AND MOBILE HOME COURTS IN THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY, GIARREN
COUNTY, NEW YORK, to locate a mobile home outside of a duZy licensed mobile home
court at property situated on Ridge Road, and
WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that the facts presented in said applications
are sufficient to authorize the issuance of the permit requested by said application,
therefore be it
RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of the above mentioned ordinance, temporary
permi6sion is hereby given to the Ridge Road Wesleyan Church of Queensbury to
locate two mobile homes outside of a licensed mobile home court for a period of one
year at property situated at Ridge Road, Town of Queensbury, and that the Building
Inspector is hereby authorised and directed to issue such permit in accorance with

On behalf of the Glens Falls Rec=tion Commission, I would like to express
my deep appreciation to you and your Commission members for their support in
the recent donation of a snowmobile and grooming equipment to this department
for use on the Crandall Park cross-country ski trails. I wish to assure your
Commissioners that this equipment will greatly add to the quality of the recrea-
tion experience received by all ski enthusiasts using these trails. Along with
the improved maintenance, this donation reflects a very positive, cooperative
attitude between the Town and City from which everyone benefits.
Again, my thanks, which I'm sure is shared by each of sour park visitors
for your concern and committment toward the continued improvement of recreational
services in our area.

Mr. Arthur Turnbull- asked that the Town Board consider a senior citizen on the
Recreation Commission. . .
i Mr. Glenn Gregory- noted that he felt Mr. Naylor was doing a fine job. . .
j Mr. Turnbull- thanked Mr. Naylor for pushing back the snow on Newcomb Street
so the Senior Citizens could have better parking at the side of the road. . .
