Haraden 103 Assembly Point Road, Tax Map ID: 239.12-2-33 Septic Variances for new Holding Tanks Installation Dear Supervisor Strough & Board Members: This office represents Jeanne Austin & Kara Haraden with respect to a holding tanks installation at their 103 Assembly Point Road parcel. The existing on-site wastewater treatment system (OSWTS) reputedly consists of a septic tank and a small absorption area, located adjacent to the house, on the roadside of the parcel. It is likely that the system will not pass the required the Lake George Park Commission inspection, thus our clients desire to construct a new system. Given the parcel's size, low elevation and native soils, it would be very difficult to install a compliant absorption field upon the parcel, therefore our clients propose to install (2) 2000- gallon holding tanks for the new system. Septic variances are requested for the Holding Tanks installation and for the sizing of the tanks exceeding the Town's requirements (3500 gallons required, 4000 gallons proposed). All required setbacks will be met for the tanks. Enclosed please find 9 sets of submission packages. We respectfully request that this item be placed upon the agenda of the next town board meeting.
